ICANFARM PRIVACY POLICY

At IcanFarm, we value your privacy. This policy outlines your privacy rights and how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your personal data. When we refer to "IcanFarm," "we", or "us", we mean IcanFarm, the entity headquartered in Singapore responsible for processing your personal data. "Website," "platform," or "service" refers to all IcanFarm websites, mobile applications (including the Garden Management App), and other related services.

  • Interact with our marketing emails.

Automated Data Collection: We automatically generate or collect information from your computer or device when you use our services, including IP addresses, your geographical location, device and browser information, and your interactions with our platform. This information helps us provide, improve, and secure our services while delivering a personalized experience tailored to your needs.

Depending on how you interact with our ecosystem, we collect the following:

  • User Account Information: Name, phone number, gender, date of birth, and email address (if utilizing social authentication).
  • Agricultural Metadata (Mobile App): Crop types, exact GPS coordinates of your garden, planting schedules, and uploaded images of plants and suspected diseases.
  • Authorized Image Upload Portal (Website): For authorized organizational personnel submitting visual agricultural data via our website, we collect organizational access codes and up to a permitted limit of crop/disease images. Our automated preprocessing pipelines are designed to detect and purge incidental Personally Identifiable Information (PII) before these images enter our AI training infrastructure.
  • Community Interactions: Publicly shared posts, comments, profile photos, and interactions (likes).

4. Purpose and Use of Your Personal Data

We utilize your personal data for several key reasons:

  • Service Provision: To deliver our services, authenticate your account, and manage your garden plans.
  • AI Model Improvement: To process plant images through our Plant Disease Inference Service and optimize our machine learning models using anonymized data.
  • Geospatial Analytics: To map regional agricultural trends and disease outbreak patterns utilizing geographical coordinates.

5. Data Sharing and Third-Party Sub-Processors

To operate our microservices architecture and deliver our platform globally, we securely share specific data with trusted third-party infrastructure providers:

  • Authentication Providers: We utilize Google (Firebase) and Meta (Facebook) for identity verification, OTP delivery, and secure social logins.
  • Cloud Storage: We rely on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to securely host user avatars, plant images, and community media.
  • Location & Weather Services: To provide localized weather data and reverse geocoding for your garden plans, we transmit your garden's exact geographic coordinates to external services, specifically Open-Meteo and LocationIQ.

6. Data Security

We prioritize the security of your personal data by using various protective measures and conducting regular system audits. However, no electronic transmission or internet-based storage is entirely infallible, and we cannot guarantee complete security due to internet risks. Certain unpredictable consequences may occur, including:

  • Hardware or software failures during data processing.
  • Unpreventable security vulnerabilities exploited by hackers or third parties.
  • Server disruptions due to natural disasters (e.g., earthquakes, fires, lightning).

In the event of a security incident, IcanFarm is committed to notifying all affected users as swiftly as possible, taking immediate remedial actions to minimize potential damages, and cooperating with relevant authorities to protect your legal rights. Please avoid sending highly confidential information via unsecured channels like email.

7. Cross-Border Data Transfers

IcanFarm is legally headquartered in Singapore. However, to ensure global platform reliability, your personal data may be transferred to, processed, and stored in servers located in different regions, such as the European Union (EU), the United States, or Canada. By utilizing our services, you consent to this cross-border transfer. We ensure your data is protected under strict standards equivalent to the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and other applicable international frameworks.

8. Data Retention and Ownership

We retain personal data collected from you only as long as your account is active, or for a limited period necessary to fulfill the original purposes of data collection, unless a different retention period is strictly required by law.

IcanFarm does not claim ownership of any data, content, or media uploaded to the Service by our users, clients, or visitors. If you wish to exercise your right to permanently delete your personal data, please submit a direct request through your account settings or contact our Data Protection Officer (DPO).

9. Sensitive Data and Children’s Privacy

Our platform is not intended for individuals under 18 years old, and we do not intentionally gather personal information from them. IcanFarm provides services designed to support gardening enthusiasts; as such, we do not proactively or intentionally collect sensitive personal data or personal data from children. We strongly advise users against uploading such informationto any website, application, or associated platform provided by IcanFarm.

If you learn that a minor has shared their personal data with us, please reach out using the contactdetails below. We will take prompt action to delete this data. Please note that specific system architectures or unforeseen technical constraints may occasionally prevent complete, absolute deletion. In such events, we guarantee that the data will be securely isolated and rendered permanently inaccessible to the maximum extent possible.

In all cases, IcanFarm commits to never engaging in the purchasing or selling of personal data ofany data subject under any circumstances.
